Fashion Revolution Day: Who Made Your Clothes?

Today we celebrate Fashion Revolution Day marking the fourth anniversary of the Rana Plaza factory disaster, one of the deadliest in history. The tragedy sparked outrage and condemnation of the broken fashion business model which makes ever-cheaper clothes at the expense of human health and the environment.

Infantium Victoria is proud to stand in solidarity with the values of the #FASHREV movement: transparency, accountability, environmental stewardship, and human rights.

In honour of Fashion Revolution Day, we invite you to go behind the scenes at Infantium Victoria and introduce you to precisely #WhoMadeYourClothes.

Factory workers at Bharitiya Infantium Victoria Fashion Revolution Day 2017

Located in Bengalore, India, the Bharitya factory produced the Emulsion collection for SS17. The collective expertise of Bharitya's workers (like Savitha, Thara and Lahitha pictured above) made our technically complicated dip-dye process possible. The factory is an enormous operation, but the space is super clean, with plenty of natural light, a very pleasant atmosphere, and on-site daycare. Although not a GOTS factory, they worked for us in full compliance of the organic standards we demand.

Infantium Victoria Agent Dinesh Fashion Revolution 2017

Meet our beloved Indian agent Dinesh, whom the Infantium Victoria co-founders Dinie and Julia have known for over eight years. A specialist in organic and sustainable apparel, Dinesh checks out each factory, solves our complicated problems, and helps ensure production is running in the most sustainable fashion.

Infantium Victoria is donating 5% of sales the month of April to Fashion Revolution. To learn more about how you can get involved in the #FASHREV movement or attend events in your area, visit fashionrevolution.org today!
